Reflexology during pregnancy aims to optimise the health of the pregnant woman. It is a safe and gentle way to help reduce stress on the body, and regular
treatments can enable you to feel relaxed, less anxious, and might also help to increase your energy levels, all of which will benefit your growing baby.
Pregnancy for some women can be a long period of discomfort and fatigue, with morning sickness, headaches, high blood pressure, backache and other pregnancy related conditions affecting hormones, emotions and much more.
Being able to support women through their pregnancy and beyond with reflexology is a wonderful experience and one that I feel honoured to be a part of. Reflexology is known for its ability to promote relaxation, improve circulation, encourage balance in the body, and provide relief from tired, aching and swollen feet.
I am qualified and experienced to offer pre-natal, pregnancy and postnatal Reflexology. Once you are aware that you are pregnant, treatments can commence after the first trimester. After 30 weeks gestation I no longer offer home visits. This is because you are unable to recline back on my chair due to the risk of supine hypotension and potential compression of the inferior vena cava. Instead I would request that you visit my treatment room to use the couch which can be especially adapted to maximise your comfort whilst allowing me to carry out a treatment seated appropriately.

“If you're feeling out of kilter, don't know why or what about, let your feet reveal the answer, find the sore spot, work it out.” Eunice Ingham, the mother of reflexology.
